I'll overwhelm 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the novice is still one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly happening.
